Acute Recordings label head Jason Jollins is quickly becoming one of the most in demand dj’s on the global touring circuit today. Known for highly technical and well programmed sets, Jason is considered throughout the industry as New York City’s Top Progressive House DJ.

While Jason spends most of the year playing international events, when he is home he plays regularly for Made Event and Pacha New York. Jason is also a former resident for Godskitchen NYC and has held residencies at many of NYC´s top clubs including Crobar, Avalon, Centro-Fly, Filter 14 & Spirit (formerly Twilo).

It is through these residencies that Jason has played alongside other world renowned DJs such as Sasha, Carl Cox, Paul Van Dyk, Steve Lawler, Lee Burridge, Juan Atkins, Armin Van Buuren, Marcus Schulz, Hernan Cattaneo, Above & Beyond, Gabriel & Dresden, Seb Fontaine, Oscar G, Anthony Pappa, Darren Emerson, Ferry Corsten, Sander Van Doorn, Max Graham, and many others.

Jason’s sound can be best described as a dark and danceable fusion of house, techno, and progressive house with a focus on lush melody’s, strong moving bass-lines & techy elements.

It is official, I have finally reached the pinnacle of any aspiring web site….to rank #1 for your most relevant keywords. In my case, searching for ‘DJ’ and ‘Snack’ brings you directly here. What’s even cooler than that is that if you search for dj snack house and techno….I’m still number one.

To top things off, I looked at the counters on the mixes I have available for download and some of my mixes have been downloaded over 50,000 times. WTF?

I am pleased to announce the results of this month’s best DJ poll. The award goes to Brian San Diego. This NC transplant was made famous by his hit single ‘Nut Sweat’. He happens to be as wicked a DJ as he his a producer and song title picker. Check out Brian at Submerge this weekend hosted by the good people at Gruv Glu.

So after much wrangling with his agent, I’ve finally managed to procure Entheos for an exclusive at Submerge this Friday night for the 1st stop of his world tour. As per the agreement, we will not be required to provide stretch limo service from his Chapel Hill estate. This is a very good thing since we don’t have the budget. I recently took a long weekend to visit my Aunt Cindy (Dad’s sister), my uncle Chris, and my 3 cousins…Tom, Sean, and Jack. I had a great time kicking it in the desert and even managed to squeeze in a day trip to Mount Lemmon for some snowboarding with Tom. My uncle Chris happens to be the director of the Biosphere and so I was fortunate enough to receive the super-ultra VIP tour. Pretty crazy stuff. Check the pics!!!

I’m boarding the 4:15PM flight to Phoenix, AZ where I will rent a car and drive to Tucson. There, I’ll be hooking up with my dad’s sister ( Aunt Cindy), her husband Chris (Directory of the Biosphere) and my 3 cousins, Tom, Sean, and Jack. The plan is to embark on a 4-hour drive to Utah on Friday night to ramp up for a day of snowboarding w/ my cousins. While I’m certain my new board will perform as it did last weekend at Sugar Mountain, NC….I look forward to putting it through it’s paces on some fluffy Rocky Mountain powder. Yippee!!!!
